Reporting to the Viewpoint Supply Chain Manager, this position plays a vital role in coordinating and optimising cargo movement for our customers, connecting them to Napier Port. The Supply Chain Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the efficient flow of goods across landside road and rail transport, warehousing, and container handling. This position focuses on operational execution and customer interactions, supporting the Supply Chain Planner in providing high-quality service and proactive communication to support seamless supply chain operations. By leveraging strong regional knowledge and partnerships, the role contributes to delivering tailored, flexible, and integrated logistics solutions that align with customer priorities.

What you’ll be doing

  • Day-to-day coordination and delivery of customer freight services in collaboration with the Supply Chain Planner.
  • Logistics services administration, including and not limited to, transport booking, tracking, reporting and invoicing.
  • Contribute to and manage continuous improvement initiatives or projects across processes and systems with customers and Napier Port interest in mind to grow and optimise our Logistics capabilities.
  • Support operations analysis, performance measurement and business reporting for internal and external customers.
  • Championing health and safety across all operational responsibilities.

What we’re looking for

  • Experience in logistics, supply chain coordination, freight forwarding, or port operations
  • Proven ability to manage customer inquiries, coordinate with transport providers
  • Familiarity with Transport management systems (TMS), and inventory tracking tools.
  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business or a related field is desirable.
