CRANE TECHNICIAN'S
We’re looking for two Crane Technician’s with an electro-mechanical focus and broad industry experience to help keep our equipment operating efficiently and reliably — supporting Hawke’s Bay’s vital global connections.
Our Crane Services Team provides technical expertise and support for our fleet of mobile harbour cranes — essential frontline equipment that plays a key role in our operational success.
What you’ll be doing
- Carrying out day-to-day maintenance activities with accuracy and efficiency
- Responding promptly to crane breakdowns and equipment failures
- Supporting maintenance of mobile plant as required
- Building strong working relationships with both internal teams and external contractors
- Contributing to a positive team culture that puts health, safety, and wellbeing first
What we’re looking for
- Proven proficiency with complex electrical and/or mechanical systems, ideally in an industrial or heavy plant environment
- Experience with industrial PLC systems is highly valued
- Familiarity with digitally controlled electrohydraulic or hydromechanical systems
- Registered electrician status or heavy engineering qualifications would be advantageous
- Background in automotive, industrial, or related technical fields
- A strong team player with excellent communication skills
- A proactive, self-starting attitude and a drive for continuous improvement
The successful candidate’s will primarily work Monday-Friday and will be available to work an on-call roster which may include weekend and public holiday work.
